A Day in the Life

I know this is really trivial, but it really bothers me when I see people list one of their hobbies or interests as “loves to do anything that’s fun.” Wow I had no idea there are people that go out of their way to do things that are boring. “Anything fun” . . . really? Me too! Same deal with “love to listen to any music that’s good.” Good thing you told me because before I thought you only listened to shitty music. Glad you cleared that up. “Spontaneous” is another cute little word that people, and girls especially, love to throw around. I can’t put my finger on why, but that word just annoys the hell out of me.

What the heck is up with these stupid forms online that ask you for your home phone number? I think the last time someone called my home phone to ask for me was over 10 years ago. If you’re a website designer and you’re reading this, please don’t make “home phone” a required field. I have a cell phone precisely because I think calling my cell phone would be the best way to reach me.

And on a related note, DON’T tell me how to make up my passwords.

Think what you will about our wonderful NYC subway system, but it is still probably THE best subway system in the world. Yes, I say this in spite of my limited travel experience because I am that confident that it is. It may be dirty and it may be crowded, but it gets you EVERYWHERE.

Why do clementines have to come so small? I can never eat just one. It’s very tempting to just pop the whole thing in my mouth, but it’s ironic that the reason I think they are so good is because they come in small little pieces, so that popping the whole thing (or half of it) in my mouth would make it not taste as good. And they make my fingers all orange.
