Overheard in New York

Last week I went to volleyball open rec at Brandeis HS. At the end of open rec, while I was changing in the locker room I overheard a conversation:

A: Man, we were so close. We definitely could have won. If only the rest of the team could have executed.

B: Yea, it was a close game.

A: The people around us were not executing! We had them.

B: Well sometimes you have to not only bring yourself up, but bring others up with you.

A: You can't squeeze blood out of a rock.

While I was not there to witness the game, it seems to me B was on to something.
